How to view Japanese characters through your Web browser.
- Macintosh users (running System 7.1 or later) need to load the Japanese Language Kit (available through most Apple resellers) as well as a browser that supports Japanese (e.g., Netscape Navigator 3.0)
- Windows Users
- Windows 95 and NT users will need Japanese language support (e.g., UnionWay) and a browser that supports Japanese (e.g., Netscape Navigator 3.0).
- Windows 3.1 users will need Japanese language support (e.g., Win/V, Twinbridge or UnionWay) and a browser that supports Japanese (e.g., Netscape Navigator 3.0).
- Or, Windows 95, NT and 3.1 can also install Tango, a multilingual web browser that doesn't require any additional software.
- Unix users need to use a Web browser that supports Japanese characters and install the necessary fonts. (If you're using Netscape 2.0, you need to turn on Japanese encoding under the Options menu.)
